What a GREAT station!! I never made it to 'Nam..embarrassmentf '64 to September '65. Worked "off-duty" at AFRTS..and, then KSBK Radio on 'the rock'. Retired about 6 years ago after nearly 50 years in broadcasting. Would love to hear from anyone that might have been on Okinawa during that period. Again..keep up the great work, guys!! Lovin' listening to VietnamVetRadio!!

(1114) Thanks for the great sounds.. Takes me back to a place where my life started in a new direction and I am still on that track. I was a grunt, with C co. 1/5th Marines, First Marine Division. Oct.66 through Nov 67. We spent most of our time in the Que Son valley. Semper Fi and welcome home brothers.

John Strunk Wednesday, 9 December 2015 15:40
The good ground of the Que Son cost us a bit. Kilo 3/5, we had your back but you guys, especially (dying) Delta paid the price. Hope your life has been good back here in the "world".

i am Scottish but have brother in laws that were in the US Navy grew up listening to this music when they used to play it, love your station and have shared it with lots of people here and in the US, the navy base that was in the HOLY LOCH Subron 14 is just across the water from me it was a sad day when they left

Gordon Lawrence Thursday, 10 December 2015 10:21
Hi, I stay in Scotland and my family were the adopted family for a few of the Navy men stationed at the Holy Loch. We had 3 stay with us around 1966 from the USS Hunley. I spent ages trying to find them. After many years the daughter of one of them seen a post I put on a site. Her father had passed away in 1988. Another one I managed to find had brain cancer and did not remember me or my family. I am still trying to find MIKE WARD.i think he was a TM2 on the Hunley. He came from Joliet ILL. I don`t know if you can put this on your website or mention it on the radio for me I have just about gave up ever finding him. I have tried so many sites. Thank you. My name is Gordon Lawrence. My dad had a taxi service in Greenock, that`s how we got to know so many of the sailors from the ships here. I would love to get in touch with Mike again
